Pharmacy Department is part of the clinical support services of Hospital Universiti Malaysia Sabah. It started with five clinics which under the administration of Hospital Universiti Malaysia Sabah that offers pharmacy services. The central pharmacy which located in the UMS campus ground is UMS Health Centre (Pusat Kesihatan Universiti, UMS). The other clinics are located outside the UMS campus, which comprises Policlinic UMS Kingfisher which are open to the public (registered under CKAPS), RMEC Clinic Sikuati Kudat, Klinik Rawatan Warga Sandakan, and Klinik Rawatan Warga Labuan. Currently, there are eight pharmacists and twenty-one pharmacy assistants that run the pharmacy service.

• To ensure the quality, safety and cost-effectiveness of medicine are provided to the patients.

• To improve pharmaceutical care services in line with standards and best practice.
• To become a training centre for pharmacy student and Provisionally Registered Pharmacist (PRP).
